Banger #8 is all about testing the limits of the intensity and magnitude of the aromas and flavors found in a typical New England DIPA. To accomplish this, we started by combining Citra and Mosaic hops with Crosby Hop Farm’s CGX™ Nugget hops. Created using advanced patent-pending cryogenic technology, CGX™ Nugget hops deliver incredibly potent aromas and flavors of orange, bergamot, and lemon-lime. We then chose to up the ante with Cosmic Punch, a Thiolized™ yeast strain that generates thiols (highly impactful aroma compounds) through biotransformation, unleashing vibrant notes of grapefruit, passion fruit, and guava.
